Going Cold Turkey!

No matter how hard you attempt to slim, your body will not deliver maximum results without clear procedures given to your mind.  Your ‘will power’ can only last a short time without constant focus.  You then get fed up and give up quickly.  This is your unconscious mind bringing all the negative eating habits and eating because of  marketing from companies, which made you feel good in the past, back into play and even stronger than before.

So really at the bottom of it all, all you really want, is to feel good and be slimmer!  See – it’s easy?! It feels easy at the start and then all the unconscious mind habits of the past just creep back in, one at a time, until you are back to square one.

So what is the Answer to slimming successfully?

Going ‘cold turkey’ and cutting out masses of calories for a week (if you even make the week).  Nope, you just end up binge eating to make you feel good again and any water (which is what you lose in your first week) just piles back on plus the extra food to compensate. – NO!

Juicing – YES/NO!  Good for 1 day a week for detoxing, however, not good for slimming long term without proper food.  You need fibre from food to make your bowels work!

Eating smaller healthy meals – YES!

Chewing slowly and thoroughly – YES!  That’s what those teeth are for!

No snacking – YES!

Drinking lots of water – YES!

Ok, so you know all this already.  We are told constantly with marketing, diet companies and our government what we should eat, why we should eat it and really that we should just eat it because they say so.  It is confusing.  Eat this, don’t eat that.  No wonder you just give up!

However, you are all different.  What if you’re like me and intolerant to dairy, wheat, chocolate, bananas, nuts, E-numbers, sugar and wine – Wine! What was the universe thinking of, making me intolerant to wine?!  For goodness sake….I still drink it by the way but in small amounts and I feel good with that because it suits me and my body.

So you might say, well it’s easy for you to cut down on food because you’re intolerant to just about everything.  Well, that’s not so true.  I did struggle with my weight because when you’re intolerant to foods and drinks, your body actually craves them.  Strange but true.  I battled for a long time with my weight.  I was a yo-yo dieter for a long time using the usual tactics, until I learned to do what my body and mind wanted me to do and I felt good and I am now slim!  And on top of that my intolerances are getting less and less as the years go by.  My body was trying to tell me to cut down on eating foods that weren’t right for me.

Anyway, before I start rambling on about how hard done to I felt about my food and drink issues over the years, the point I’m making here is that what is right for one person, is not right for the other.  We need our minds and bodies to tell us what foods to eat, not greedy, money-fuelled governments, food companies and diet companies who really only care about how much money they are making.

So, how do you get your mind to feel good and be slim at the same time?
